Iroquois, ON, Canada – August 9, 2006 – ManáSat channel, part of the "Igreja Cristã Maná" Church in Lisbon, Portugal, has invested in a Ross Video Synergy 2 SD digital production switcher to be installed in their new production studio.

ManáSat is an evangelic ministry TV channel that offers viewers alternative programming of Christian inspiration. The channel is present in three continents through satellite and has local TV stations in Brazil and Africa. ManáSat’s news production studios required a new video production switcher to integrate with their Orad virtual set system. The Synergy 2 SD digital production switcher will be used for multi-camera TV programs, with and without virtual sets.

“Our Ministry is continuously working to expand our facilities,” said, Sérgio Silva, Technical Engineer. “Synergy matched our needs because it’s full SDI, has plenty of aux buses, a growth path to larger multi-definition switchers, and is cost efficient compared to other products. The Synergy 2 SD is a 2 MLE standard definition production switcher and performs well in a variety of broadcast environments, from network and local news broadcasts to stadiums, mobile trucks and IMAG applications. The Synergy 2 SD can be upgraded to a Synergy 3 SD or 4 SD or to a multi-definition system, as production needs change.

ManáSat is a family channel of Christian nature offering an alternative to help educate children with respect to their social education.
