Iroquois, ON, Canada – April 19, 2006 – Ross Video and TSL announced today the TSL TallyMan system now has a direct interface with Ross Synergy digital production switchers. This interface provides a direct integration of the Synergy tally information with the TallyMan system.

The Synergy to TallyMan interface uses a serial link to communicate all relevant tally data with only one cable connection required. TallyMan and Synergy are now proven to work seamlessly together using simple TallyMan controllers plus a range of ancillary products including the new TSL In Monitor Display (IMD).

In order to satisfy the growing complexity of typical broadcast systems and increasing need for customer-reconfiguration in the field, TallyMan enables interfacing to any third party hardware such as routers, production switchers, multiviewers and alarm systems and allows easy subsequent reconfiguration of the tally and UMD system as required.

Synergy MD/X is part of a family of Ross Digital Production switcher solutions. The Synergy MD/X series are fully equipped multi-definition production switchers supporting a wide variety of SD and HD video formats. Synergy MD/X is based on the latest technology in both hardware and software offering a readiness for the future. Synergy MD/X does not require costly upgrades when moving from SD to HD.
