Ross Synergy 2 is an Excellent Choice for KRWG

KRWG TV is a PBS Station in Las Cruces, New Mexico (El Paso, Texas market) and we carry programming from PBS plus we instruct students in the use of Broadcast equipment and we do a weekday Nightly Newscast with almost all of the positions being operated by students taking classes at the New Mexico State University.

Everyday is different as to the uses of the equipment but we use the Ross Synercy switcher for the news, our weekly "Que Pasa" program and various productions, that are the daily operation of a television station.

We purchased the Synergy to replace an 18 year old CD 480. Although we hadn't had any previous experience with Ross products, the Synergy 2 soon won our confidence.

Of particular interest were the Squeeze & Tease 2D DVE, Ultimatte Insider, and Preview Overlay options. We find that Synergy allows us to improve the look of our productions without adding expensive out-board equipment.

How did Synergy perform? Excellent.

We were also very impressed with the ability to upgrade to a 3 or 4 MLE switcher by simply adding an MLE card to the frame and replacing our control panel.

When installing our Synergy, we chose RossGear encoders and decoders because of cost and compatibility.

Sales support throughout the process - Excellent.

The installation was easy and on time. We have only had a problem with one DA frame and you replaced it immediately.

In conclusion, the Ross Synergy 2 has improved our productions and reduced our headaches.
