Digital Production Switchers - Vision QMD/X

Machine Control
Ross has set the pace for device control from production switchers. Vision QMD/X offers a more integrated production environment than any other production switcher on the planet. Whether you are looking to get a more consistent production on the air, or to get a new show on the air with a modest staff, Vision QMD/X has the control power options to make it happen.

VTR Control
Select a VTR on the PST bus, display its current timecode on the preview monitor, roll it from the transition area, and take it to air. Fast forward, rewind, slo-mo playback and cue to time code are also available at the touch of a button on the control panel.

Video Server Control
Select, play, and monitor server clips by name right from the Vision control panel. The clip menu keeps track of clips and allows instant recall and cue.

Networked Still and Clip Server
Imagine hours of video storage, virtually unlimited stills, and animations all playing out with their companion key channels. Next, combine live video and key capture with Ethernet drag and drop capability and you have the perfect marriage of video and networkability. Even better, this solution comes bundled with Vision QMD/X's powerful Video Server Control. more...

Audio Server Control
Dial up the desired clip and see the name and duration. Use a Custom Control macro button to link audio clips to a switcher or DVE transition.

Router Control
This capability makes your studio router sources easily selectable directly from the Vision QMD/X menu system. Any number of Vision QMD/X’s inputs may be fed from a router output. Router mnemonics are supported, with the router's 8 character source name being displayed on the Vision QMD/X menu system, mnemonic displays and Preview Overlay source ID text.

Audio Mixer Interface
Vision QMD/X goes far beyond simple audio follow video. It allows for easy audio over, easy attachment of several audio sources to one video source, and quick level control of master and individual audio levels. Even audio voice-over control directly from the Vision QMD/X control panel is possible.

Robotic Camera System Interface
Pan, tilt, zoom, focus, shot recall, and more are directly controllable from your control panel when this option is added to Vision QMD/X.

Character Generators
CGs are controlled to allow recall of templates, loading of text into templates, page forward or reverse and more.

Peripheral Buss II Interface This option provides support for Thomson GVG Peripheral Bus II Protocol for external device integration. Coordinate the store and recall of the settings of some still stores, CGs, and device controllers with the store and recall of your Vision QMD/X settings.

Monitor Wall Interface
Vision QMD/X makes it easy to select a monitor wall layout from certain monitor wall systems like the Miranda Kaliedo Series. Switching back and forth between layouts is easy and can even be tied to custom control macro buttons. Combining the Monitor Wall Interface with the Serial Tally Interface provides tally information and full mnemonic updates to the monitor wall.

Serial Tally Interface
Vision QMD/X supports the Contribution Serial Tally Protocol. Based on the Thomson GVG Kalypso Tally Protocol this allows the switcher to supply full bus status to a tally processing system like Image Video or Evertz MVP. This allows real time source mnemonic update and tally information to be shared with these devices. Serial Tally Input is also included with this interface allowing for TSL UMD protocol to update Vision QMD/X’s Source Mnemonic and Preview Overlay displays. Further, this protocol can also provide the facility clock to replace Vision QMD/X’s internal Preview Overlay Clock.
